Some images have found their way

I never entered competitions to win them. I entered to find out whether what I saw in my photographs could be seen by others too.

A few answers came back: an honourable mention here, a second place there, two selections by Barbara Silbe for NOC Sensei, the photographic community connected to New Old Camera Milano. Each time a small confirmation that the work was heading in the right direction.

The most recent recognition has a different shape: in March 2026 the Biblioteca Civica di Vimercate hosted my solo exhibition Antiche tecniche fotografiche nell’epoca di Instagram (Historic photographic techniques in the age of Instagram), devoted to cyanotype and selenetype. For me it was the moment when a very private body of work — made of chemical processes, of waiting, of prints produced one by one — became public and found its place.

The exhibition was documented and reviewed by several local newspapers and institutional channels.
