Thanks to a Vespa

A Vespa, a sister mistaken for a girlfriend and a providential downpour: how Mrs Caterina won over her husband.

Caterina is a very lucid woman, always smiling, despite her health problems. Once she asked me how I had met my girlfriend. In that moment I thought it would be interesting to hear her love story too, and I was not disappointed. Caterina worked in a firm in Concorezzo and, the moment she saw her future husband, she fell in love at first sight. There was one small problem… he seemed to be taken. In fact he always came to work on a Vespa with a girl riding behind him. “There was no hope, better to give up”, Caterina says.

Talking with a colleague, she discovered that the girl who rode with him to work was not his girlfriend, but his sister! Caterina did not let the chance slip and acted with determination.

She became friends with the sister, starting to spend time with her and visiting her at home. Unfortunately the brother was often out on his Vespa and they rarely crossed paths. Once she saw him at home and asked what his plans were for the afternoon. He answered that he was going to the cinema, and of course Caterina did not let slip the chance to invite herself along.
